How to add dotted line in Google Docs
There are two simple methods to add dotted line in Google Docs
- With Shortcut
- With the Drawing tool
Method 1: Using Shortcut
Open Google Docs on the computer and put the cursor where you want to create a dotted line then press and hold “Period Key” from keyboard till the length of line you want.
Method 2: With the Drawing tool
Open “Google Docs”
In the “Menu Bar” click on “Insert” then navigate to “Drawing” and click “+New”
Now from the Drawing toolbar select the “Line” option and draw the line in the drawing panel and change the design or structure of line by selecting Line dash option. See the below screenshot for reference-

How to remove blue dotted line in Google Docs
While creating multiple page breaks in the document a blue dotted line appears in Google Docs on every page.
To remove those blue lines and the page in continuous form follow below steps-
Open Google Docs on a computer
In the “Menu Bar” click on “View” and uncheck “Show print layout”
It will remove blue dotted line in Google Docs and make the pages continuous.
How to change page break back to dotted line in Google Docs
To change the page break in dotted line simply check the “Show print layout” and also check “Show section breaks” options.
